Michael D. Lanphier, 55, of Harvard, died Monday in Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was born in Harvard, and worked for 22 years for Pettibone Corp. in Lisle, most recently as the MIS director. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, was a past Grand Knight, and served as financial secretary for the Harvard Council 1204. He was a board member, vice-president, and secretary-treasurer of the Pioneer Foundation, where he served for 23 years. He also was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hartland. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; four brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard.
