William E. Oddy, 61, of Blackhawk, Calif., died Sept. 7 in San Ramon Regional Hospital in San Ramon, Calif. Born in Lake Forest, Mr. Oddy grew up in West Aurora and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1954. He was the school’s first recipient of an NROTC full scholarship. His father, E.S. Oddy, was a partner in Aucutt Bros. Building Materials Co. in Aurora. Mr. Oddy was a resident of Blackhawk for the past seven years and executive vice president of finance and administration for Degenkolb Engineers in San Francisco. He was a 1958 NROTC graduate of the University of Colorado and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Jan; a daughter, Jill Milton; a sister; and a granddaughter. A service will be held on Beaver Island, Mich., next summer.
