It’s a shame that George Halas left this earth with Da Bears in top condition, from the administration to the coaching to the drafting and on down to the strength coach, only to have his grandson, “Squeaky,” slowly dismantle a winner almost to disgrace.
Just about every week I see a coaching staff getting outcoached. I see a defensive line so bad it’s sickening to watch. Let’s start drafting players with a nose for the ball, not muscle-bound “projects.” People who play with their instincts and not their mouths.
Get someone who knows how to operate around the salary cap, like the teams who are winners. When someone goes down, the Bears cry, “No money.” Then sell the team to someone who can afford a modern-day team. Evidently, the McCaskeys can’t.
