If voters approve a new Richmond-Burton High School in a March referendum, Spring Grove District 11’s 6th, 7th and 8th graders will have classes in the old high school building.
High school officials have offered their current building to the Spring Grove and Richmond grade school districts for use as a junior high, at no cost to taxpayers. District 11’s school board passed a resolution last week to send students to the school, if it becomes available.
A new junior high school would cost about $7.8 million to build, said Erdmann, superintendent of both Spring Grove Grade School and Richmond-Burton High School.
All three districts are above enrollment capacity. Spring Grove school is using six mobile classrooms.
