Anne H. Davis, 67, a longtime Northbrook resident and a teacher in Northbrook School District 28 for 25 years, died Monday in her home. A native of Nashville, Mrs. Davis graduated from George Peabody College for Teachers, now part of Vanderbilt University. She moved to the Chicago area in 1955, teaching physical education at St. Norbert’s Catholic School before moving on to Meadowbrook and Greenbriar Schools. While she was teaching she received her master’s in education from Chicago State University. Mrs. Davis was an avid dancer and quiltmaker, her husband, Richard, said. Other survivors include her mother, Rebekah; two daughters, Amy Rebekah Fleck and Elizabeth Anne Friese; a son, Richard; a brother; three sisters; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Hanekamp Funeral Home, 385 Waukegan Rd., Northbrook. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Rd., Northbrook.
