James P. Brouder, 79, of Schaumburg, died Sunday in Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. Born in Chicago, he was a World War II Army veteran who retired after 40 years as a salesman in the housewares industry. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon A. Klopfenstein and Patricia L. Ostermann; a son, James P. Jr.; one brother; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
