Irving B. Katz, 74, a retired Lincolnwood pharmacist who taught students at the University of Illinois at Chicago, died Thursday in Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Katz owned Devon Drugs in Chicago for 28 years and later worked in the pharmacy at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. He taught at UIC for two years. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Beth Elkayam and Joanne Rosati; two sons, Alan and Russell; a sister; two brothers; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
