James Veraveic, 24, of 8607 S. Tripp Ave., Chicago, was charged Sunday with domestic battery and criminal damage to property, police said. They said Veraveic had been in a vehicle parked in the 15900 block of Haven Avenue when he pulled the hair of the woman he was with and scratched her eye and wrist. When she got in her own car, Veraveic allegedly grabbed the partially closed driver’s-side window and broke it, cutting his hands. Police said Veraveic has a pending court case for allegedly battering a man during a traffic altercation.
