I consider William Pfaff a thought-provoking and insightful writer. His Oct. 7 Op-Ed column titled “U.S. gratuitous antagonizing of other countries” shows how U.S. behavior is one of arrogance and economic hegemony.
On second thought, this kind of attitude is understandable. With unchecked power, the U.S. government browbeats other governments and people in the same manner that the IRS does U.S. citizens.
