MainStreet Libertyville Inc., a public-private partnership organization working to revitalize downtown Libertyville, is looking for new members.
The non-profit organization, which was created in 1989, sponsors several community events each year, such as the Farmers Market, Trick or Treat on MainStreet, and the Dickens of a Holiday Festival, said Peg Becker, executive director.
MainStreet Libertyville was recently named the winner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 1997 Great American Main Street Award.
Both businesses and individuals are eligible to join the non-profit organization. Dues range from $25 to $100, Becker said.
