Cornelius G. Rode, 86, of Des Plaines died Tuesday in Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Born in Chicago, Mr. Rode worked as a lineman for 44 years with Middle States Telephone Co. Survivors include his wife, Jayne; two sisters; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. in the Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
