Q. Once you ejaculate while wearing a condom, should you change it if you still have an erection and want to continue intercourse? If so, won’t that increase the chance of pregnancy because you may get semen from the previous ejaculation on the new condom when putting it on?
A. Very good question. You should change the condom because if you keep the same one on, the liquid inside it will increase the chances that it might slip off during intercourse, not only causing some of the ejaculate to spill into the vagina, but if the two of you don’t realize it has slipped off, you might ejaculate a second time directly into the vagina.
While it is true that there may be a drop or two of semen left on your penis after removing the first condom, if you wipe your penis off with a tissue, and be extra careful when putting the second condom on, that should take care of the problem.
