Frank Falco, 83, a retired tailor, died Friday in Meadowview Manor in Bolingbrook. Mr. Falco learned his trade in Carbonara, Italy, before coming to the United States with his family at the age of 16. They settled in Chicago, where Mr. Falco worked during the day and attended night classes at Schurz High School. He worked for Travilini Tailors on Michigan Avenueand Ferraro Custom Tailors on Madison Avenue. Mr. Falco lived on the Northwest Side of Chicago until moving to Downers Grove in 1989. He retired from Ferraro Custom Tailors at the age of 65, stayed home for a couple of years and returned to work for the firm until 1995. He made all of his own clothes and specialized in making suit coats. “He was what I’d call a workaholic,” said his wife of 33 years, Marian. Besides his wife, Mr. Falco is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Moltz; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Monahan and Linda Stone; a stepson, Dennis McArdle; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Monday in Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 444 Wilson St., Downers Grove.
