Frances C. Dawson of Des Plaines, 96, died Saturday at Oakton Pavilion Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Born Sept. 8, 1901 in Chicago, Ms. Dawson was a retired department manager for Illinois Bell Telephone Co., where she worked for more than 49 years. She volunteered at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago for 24 years. She is survived by her sister. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1267 Everett, Des Plaines.
