Mary Ritchie, 104, of Chicago died Tuesday in King Bruwaert Retirement Home in Burr Ridge. In her 50 years as a practical nurse and travel companion for the wealthy, Miss Ritchie, who was born in Scotland, crossed the Atlantic Ocean 13 times and often cruised the Panama Canal. An active and independent woman, she never married and attributed her longevity to that fact. There are no immediate survivors. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in McInerney’s Sons Funeral Home, 7901 S. Komensky Ave., Chicago. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
