It will be a new time but the same place for the 3rd annual Veterans Day Ceremony to be held Tuesday morning at McHenry County College.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. in the college’s multipurpose room with an opening performance by the Great Lakes Naval Band.
The program, which is expected to attract about 400 veterans and their spouses, is free and open to veterans and non-veterans alike, said Lisa Gordey, the college’s public relations director.
The ceremony will be followed by a free health promotion clinic along with free blood-pressure checks.
Featured speaker will be retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. John F. Calhoun, who flew more than 200 combat missions during the Vietnam War.
