Kudos to Barbara Brotman and Mary Schmich for having the courage to cut through the sentimentality of multiple births and name the hard realities.
Brotman’s presentation of the ethical principles of autonomy versus justice (Perspective, Nov. 23) was brilliant and should be required reading in medical schools. Likewise Schmich’s differentiation between the god of technology and the God of Genesis belongs in seminary curriculum (Metro, Nov. 23). Too often we are worshipping at the wrong altar.
