James R. Ashner, 66, a longtime resident of Niles and a retired florist for 30 years, died Tuesday in Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mr. Ashner owned Richard Lange Floral Shop in Chicago for many years. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Josephine; three sons, Michael, Robert and Kenneth; a daughter, Donna Klein; and seven grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church, 8307 N. Harlem Ave., Niles.
