Hillary Rodham Clinton may not be ready to move back to her home town of Park Ridge, but other empty-nesters are being lured by a new residential development called Park Ridge Pointe.
Designed to appeal to those downsizing from single-family homes, the northwest suburban project offers 160 condominium units and 61 townhouses.
The seven condo plans range in size from 1,300 to 1,700 square feet and in price from $178,500 to $214,500. They have one to three bedrooms, and heated indoor parking at ground level.
The two-story townhouses range in size from 1,629 to 2,557 square feet and in price from $270,000 to $340,000. The six plans have two to four bedrooms, basements and attached two-car garages.
The townhouses have nine-foot ceilings on the first floor, while the condos have nine-foot ceilings throughout. All residences are covered by a 10-year warranty.
Park Ridge Pointe is a joint venture of the Regan Group and Philip I. Mappa Interests. It is being built by Burnside Construction. The first residents already have moved in.
The second of five five-story condo buildings is under construction.
Amenities will include a landscaped pond with a walking path and a gazebo.
Five furnished models, decorated by Shelly Barrad Designs Inc. of Chicago, can be viewed.
