Eight spec homes are available for immediate to 30-day delivery at Citadel on the Pond, a Tantillo Homes townhouse community being developed in west suburban Westmont.

Priced from $196,551 to $236,832, the spec homes are available in four floor plans ranging from 1,600 to 2,100 square feet and include two or three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

Each of the homes has a master suite with walk-in closet. Some offer sitting areas and one is on the first floor. Other amenities include full basements, central air conditioning, fireplaces, two-car garages, and lofts, family rooms and skylights per plan.

The community features five floor plans priced from $189,900 to $231,900 with two or three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Some designs feature dens, bay windows, breakfast nooks and two-story or volume ceilings.

Sales hours at Citadel On The Pond are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

To reach the community, take Illinois Highway 83 to Ogden Avenue. Go west a half mile to the entrance at Oakwood Drive on the north side of Ogden Avenue.

– Benj. E. Sherman & Sons will auction properties in Lisle, Joliet and McHenry at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 707 Butterfield Rd., Lombard.

The properties include 12 townhouses at Larkins Pointe in Joliet originally priced from $115,000 to $150,000, with minimum opening bids of $45,000. They feature two and three bedrooms with 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, vaulted ceilings, master suites with walk-in closets, lofts, full basements, attached two-car garages and private courtyards.

Open houses are scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. this Sunday and also Dec. 14.

Other properties include a single-family home, at 2298 Hidden Creek Court in the Corporate Woods subdivision in Lisle, with four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. It has a suggested opening bid of $275,000 with an open house scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Also featured will be a 2,748-square-foot home on a 1 1/2-acre lot at 2003 Black Oak Drive in McHenry. It includes four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, a first-floor master suite with whirlpool tub, oak floors, volume ceilings, masonry fireplace, basement and three-car garage. Originally priced at $336,250, the home will be sold subject to a minimum bid of $225,000. Open houses are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Dec. 6 and 13.

– Preconstruction sales are under way at Hidden Oaks, a single-family home community being developed in northwest suburban Bartlett by R.A. Faganel Builders.

Eight floor plans range from 2,816 to 3,788 square feet and include four bedrooms, a den and 2 1/2 baths. Homes are priced from $335,000, including lot. Lots, some of which are wooded, are half an acre and larger and offer walkout basements where terrain permits.

– Through December, Hoffman Homes is offering savings ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 on homes at the Ponds at Mill Race Creek, a community of 132 single-family homes in far west suburban Oswego.

Seven floor plans range from 1,892 to 2,515 square feet with three or four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and attached two- and three-car garages. They are priced from $161,490 to $191,990, including incentives.

Two decorated models are open for viewing.

– Preconstruction sales are coming to a close with two models scheduled to open by year-end at Carrolwood Park in west suburban Naperville.

The community of 162 two-story townhouses, currently priced from $109,990 to $122,990, is being developed by Pulte Home Corp.

Three two-story designs are available with 1,252 to 1,362 square feet, two or three bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, great rooms and attached garages.

– Landmark Homes has opened sales of The Manorhomes at Washington Village, multi-family homes in far north suburban Grayslake.

The attached homes include two to four bedrooms, a rear-loading garage and a full basement. They are priced from $139,900, and offer extensive customization opportunities. Some plans feature first-floor master suites.
