Thema Hoffenberg Friedner, 79, a Skokie resident formerly of Chicago, died Saturday while vacationing in Florida. Mrs. Friedner was a social studies teacher for more than 25 years at the Clinton School in West Rogers Park. Survivors include her husband, Sidney; a daughter, Suzanne Defrin; four sons, Stephen Hoffenberg, Leslie Hoffenberg, Michael Hoffenberg and Edward Friedner; a brother; and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie.
