More than $1,100 in carpentry and carpet-laying tools were reportedly stolen Thursday from a van parked in a garage in the 100 block of Flint Avenue, police said. A window on the side door to the garage had been broken, allowing the burglar to reach inside and unlock the door to get access to the van, which was unlocked, police said.
