Bernard B. Brody, 89, of Skokie, died Tuesday in Vencor Hospitals in North Shore. In 1930, Mr. Brody earned a pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois. He later became a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an active member of the pharmaceutical community. While teaching, he attended evening classes at Chicago-Kent College of Law. In 1938, Mr. Brody received a law degree. And by 1944, he stopped teaching at UIC and devoted his attention to practicing criminal law. Mr. Brody, a Chicago native, served as the attorney for the Illinois Pharmaceutical Association for 20 years. And in September, Mr. Brody was named University of Illinois College of Pharmacy Man of the Year. Mr. Brody is survived by three sons, Bruce, Robert and Kent; 10 grandchildren; and 2 sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
