Walter H. Layman, 88, of Poplar Grove died Saturday in his home. He worked at Autolite in Woodstock for many years before retiring in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; two sons, Larry and Ronald; a daughter, Karen; two brothers; a sister; 12 grandchildren; and 19 grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins St., Harvard.
