Dean Foods Co. plans to acquire Purity Dairies of Nashville, which would be the third regional dairy snapped up by Franklin Park-based Dean in recent months. Terms were not disclosed. Purity, with sales of $100 million, produces milk, ice cream and other dairy products in central Tennessee, southwestern Kentucky and northern Alabama. Dean said it would continue the Purity brand name but also introduce some Dean products.
