Rev. Allen E. Schlapp, 87, of Aurora, died Sunday in Aurora Manor, a nursing home in Aurora. Rev. Schlapp was a graduate of Oswego High School and served in the U.S. National Guard. He served as pastor of the Northwest Church of the Nazarene in Aurora and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He retired from Equipto Co. in 1978 after 27 years of service in the maintenance department. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Ricketts; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Bible Church, 1140 Pershing St., Aurora.
