Doctors had to pry the jaws of a bumper pike from the nose of a Russian angler after the fish took revenge for being caught.

The fisherman was showing off his catch to fellow anglers, bringing the fish face to face. The creature pounced, Itar-Tass news agency reported last month.

His friends hacked off the pike’s body, but it took doctors at a local hospital to complete the job.
