John J. Lorenz, 64, a buyer for Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Friday in Manor Care Nursing Home in Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, Mr. Lorenz lived in Des Plaines since the 1950s. He was an Army veteran and fought in the Korean War. Mr. Lorenz is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Diane O’Toole and Patty Clifton; a son, Paul; a brother; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Church, 1267 Everett Ave., Des Plaines.
