John William Kaiser Sr., 81, a longtime resident of Streamwood and a 30-year employee of A&P food stores, died Sunday in Hoffman Estates Medical Center. Mr. Kaiser, formerly of Chicago, retired from A&P in 1975. A veteran of World War II, he lived in Streamwood for 20 years. In September, Mr. Kaiser became deputy grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council No. 8699 of St. Peter Damian Church in Bartlett. Mr. Kaiser is survived by his wife, Teresa; two daughters, Elizabeth Boberg and Patricia Tomlinson; a son, John; a brother; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd., Streamwood. A prayer service will begin at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 506 Parkside Circle, Streamwood.
