I predict the Cubs will be a contender this season based on two “ifs”:
– If Jeff Blauser doesn’t get “Cubitis,” which is defined as a player having his batting average drop 50 points because he now wears a blue cap with a “C” on it;
– And if Sammy “Rally Killer” Sosa learns to lay off questionable pitches when he’s ahead in the count. Have patience, Sammy, look for your pitch and remember, a walk is a good at-bat.
