Kitchen gardens are planted with color and flavor in mind. The idea is to bring to the table combinations of fruits, vegetables and herbs that are not only good tasting but appeal to the other senses as well.
The Morton Arboretum in Lisle will teach homeowners and landscape architects alike the secrets of beautiful and functional kitchen gardens at “Kitchen Gardens for Beauty & Flavor,” a one-day seminar from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Arboretum.
Cost of the seminar is $102, ($84 for Arboretum members),. For information, call 630-719-2468.
