Joan Beck’s column on Clinton’s strategies was really gooood (“Some White House strategies that are really gooood,” Op-Ed, Feb. 12).

Perhaps we should consider adding two new members to the president’s cabinet: Secre-tary of Damage Control and Secretary of Spin Control. For ease of communication, the offices should be next door to each other. How fitting that on the same page was a reprint from a February 1860 editorial advocating Abraham Lincoln for the presidency.

What a contrast! The list of Clinton’s vices was much longer than the list of Lincoln’s virtues.
