John R. Cresap, 62, of Arlington Heights, died Saturday in his home. Mr. Cresap was an application engineer for 20 years at Gillespie and Associates Inc. of Willow Springs, an industrial heating and ventilating company. Mr. Cresap, who was born in Ft. Madison, Iowa, was a graduate of General Motors Institute in Michigan. “He was one of the most honest and conscientious workers I’ve ever known,” said Cliff Wilke, a colleague at Gillespie and a friend for 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Evans; two sons, Brian and Robert; three daughters, Joanne, Jill Latour, and Susan Grzegorek; his mother, Lucille; a brother, Michael; two sisters, Rita Van Dorpe and Catherine Sumner; and 12 grandchildren. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
