Thomas J. Shannon, 74, of Oak Lawn, died Wednesday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Shannon was a retired Chicago police sergeant. He was a Park District officer for many years and a sergeant in the 8th District. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two brothers; and a sister. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Andrew J. McGann and Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Linus Church, 10300 S. Lawler Ave., Oak Lawn.
