June W. Schmunk, 75, of Zion and formerly of McHenry, died Wednesday in Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. She was a resident of McHenry for more than 40 years. She also lived in Tarpon Springs, Fla., from 1979 to 1983, and in Zion since 1990. She was a member of VFW Women’s Auxilary Fox River Post 4600, and served as president. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 491 and loved bingo. Survivors include five daughters, Sandy Young, Judi Johnson, Nancy Ward, Linda Antepenko and Donna Walls; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Winfield Hagberg; and a sister, Ethel Mae Roewer. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday and the funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday in George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry.
