Thank you for the article about Laurie Dann and the trauma she caused in Winnetka (Page 1, May 3). Thank you also for writing about the teacher, Amy Moses.
I was a junior in high school when the incident happened. I remember our school in Glenview being locked down and no one being able to leave because they didn’t know where Laurie Dann was. I remember how scared I was to go home.
I am now a teacher assistant for handicapped students in Northbrook. Our school has a security system, but there are times when I am fearful of a person coming in with a gun. I feel this trauma to this day.
I hope Winnetka can heal itself and talk about the trauma that Dann has caused. I also hope the best for Ms. Moses.
