John J. Pfeiffer, 80, a resident of Rolling Meadows since 1957, died Saturday in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, Mr. Pfeiffer was an Army veteran of World War II. When he returned to Chicago, he mixed paints for a paint factory before taking a custodial position with School District 25 in Arlington Heights. Mr. Pfeiffer retired in 1983. He is survived by a son, Richard; a brother, Frederick; a sister, Teresa Van Allen; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
