Robert J. Freund, 72, an electrical engineering consultant, died Tuesday at his home in Oak Park. He was born on Chicago’s Southwest Side and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Mr. Freund owned the Freund Consulting Electrical Engineering Firm in Chicago for more than two decades. He was also past president of the IIT alumni association. Survivors include his daughter, Roberta; a sister, Dorothy; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Interment Chapel, 6001 W. 111th St., Worth.
