James Andrews Rush, 78, formerly of Oak Park and Glen Ellyn, died Monday at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif. Mr. Rush retired in 1982 from Nalco Chemical Co., where he held several sales and executive positions. He was active in many civic organizations and committed to the preservation of the public library, city parks and wetlands in California. He also served in the Seabees during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Joan; three daughters, Pat Rush, Mary Blauvelt and Margaret Messick; a grandson; and a brother. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturdayat St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Hillside and Main Streets, Glen Ellyn.
