Marvin Osterman, a former Chicago Public Schools teacher and principal at elementary and secondary schools, died Saturday in his home in Chicago. He was 84. Mr. Osterman was born in Chicago and earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University. He was an educator for more than four decades, then a member of the Board of Directors of the Retired Teachers Association of Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Helen; and two sisters, Ruth Weiner and Jeanette Scheckman. Services were held Tuesday in Chicago.
