Peter Cleary, 81, of Chicago, died Thursday in his home. Mr. Cleary, a native of Ireland, was a serviceman for the Chicago Transit Authority for many years. He also was a 50-year member of Local 241 of the Amalgamated Transit Workers Union. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eileen; two daughters, Kathleen Powers and Joan Wnek; a son, Peter; a sister, Mollie Eustace; two brothers, John and Martin; and three grandchildren; Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 4950 W. 79th St. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 8200 S. Kostner Ave., Chicago.
