Clarence Page observes that most people cannot imagine their parents having sex. He admits, “I still can’t. I think I was created by immaculate conception.” (“Bedtime Stories,” OP-Ed, June 10).
I think he means he believes he was created by “virginal conception.” The Roman Catholic doctrine of the Immaculate Conception refers to the conception of Mary (mother of Jesus) without sin. I doubt Mr. Page is claiming such exalted status!
