i`m a gettin` to review “Armageddon” (pronounced “ARE ma geh din” and meaning the end of the world). This outer-space thriller is the latest Jerry Bruckheimer flick (he`s that high-flyin` fellow who brought us “Top Gun” and “Con Air”). In this PG-13 flick, an angry asteroid is aiming to destroy Earth, and the doom-`n`-gloom situation is turned over to six oil-digging dudes who look more like the Village People than superheroes.
This motley crew is led by “Die Hard” hero Bruce Willis, who finds the idea of everyone dying hard to live with. So he and his pals accept the challenge to blow up the asteroid and save the world. Those pals include Ben Affleck, who, by the way, is hotter than the meteors that turn Paris and New York City into blazing infernos. And Ben`s crush in the flick is Willis` movie daughter Grace, played by Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler`s real-life, real beautiful daughter Liv. (Check out the four Aerosmith songs on the soundtrack too.)
So get your tickets and strap yourself in for literally the rock (yes, as in asteriod) and roll(ercoaster) ride of your life! It`s a hit… so to speak.
