David Ginder, 84, of South Holland, formerly of Lombard, died Thursday in Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey. Mr. Ginder was a resident of South Holland for five years, before living in Lombard from 1959 to 1986. He was a veteran, having served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was retired from Equitable Life Insurance Co. in Chicago as the former chief operating engineer and assistant vice president of building operations. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 399. Mr. Ginder was also a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard. Survivors include two sons, David and James; three brothers; and a sister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main St., Lombard.
