The Volo Village Board meeting was canceled Wednesday for the fourth consecutive week because Four Oaks, developer of the Miller Farm property north of town, was not ready to present an annexation agreement, said Village President Burnell Russell.
Tuesday night’s meeting involving Prime Corp. of McHenry and the annexation of property a short distance south was canceled for the same reason. Prime Corp. wants to annex 160 acres east of U.S. Highway 12 and south of Molidor Road.
A thin strip of property that will be annexed to the village connects the Prime Corp. property to the Four Oaks property. Four Oaks is expected to develop 261 units of duplexes and single-family homes on its property. Prime Corp. intends to develop a $1 million business park.
Prime Corp. is rescheduled to meet with the Village Board Aug. 4 and Four Oaks is scheduled to meet Aug. 5.
