Barely mustering a quorum Monday, the Village Board unanimously approved the final plats for a 26-acre business park on the north end of the village and for the 102-acre Country Crossings subdivision on the northwest corner of Barnard Mill and School Roads.
The Gaylor Business Park will be developed with 15 commercial lots along the west side of Illinois Highway 31.
Country Crossings will be developed with 58 residential lots. A 2.7-acre tract at the corner of Barnard Mill and School Roads will be given to the village for municipal uses.
During Monday’s meeting Country Crossings co-developer Brian Jack requested that the streets through the subdivision be reduced to 22-feet wide from 24-feet wide.
However the village’s engineer, Carl Moon of Baxter & Woodman, recommended that the board deny the request.
The board compromised, allowing the reduction on Trevor Lane. Other streets will remain 24-feet wide.
