If a $126.8 million jackpot couldn’t get Powerball players excited, perhaps a $180 million prize in Saturday’s drawing can stir the blood.
Thirty people will collect $100,000 each after picking all but the Powerball in Wednesday night’s drawing, but no one had a ticket with all six numbers drawn: 1, 22, 23, 30, 49 and the Powerball number, 33. Powerball is played in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Ticket sales were brisk before Wednesday’s drawing but short of the frenzy last spring before Frank and Shirley Capaci of Streamwood, Ill., won a $195 million jackpot.
