Thomas Stewart, 81, of Lombard died Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Mr. Stewart had been a resident of Lombard since 1953. He was a member of the Marines from 1938 to 1945, serving in World War II. He rose to the rank of master technical sergeant. He was a longtime member of First Church of Lombard. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Maple Street Chapel, 220 South Main St., Lombard.
