Ameritech Corp. has begun closing customer-service centers in Milwaukee and Lansing, Mich. The moves, expected to be completed in mid-November, affect 204 non-management and eight management employees in Milwaukee and 286 non-management and 19 management employees in Lansing for a total of 517 employees. Chicago-based Ameritech will attempt to place non-management employees at one of three centers and provide up to $14,500 in relocation expenses.
