Eleanor Jones, 74, of Batavia died Sunday in Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. Born in Batavia Township, Mrs. Jones received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She taught school in Batavia and West Chicago for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; a son, Jeff; a brother, Donald Weaver; two sisters, Roberta Poole and Doris Christensen; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be private.
